My wonderful friend Meg got me this Nomatic Planner I wanted. I know in this world of technology who really needs a planner? I do, I buy real books because I still enjoy holding on to some things from the past. We spend so much of our lives looking at screens that it’s nice to look away & I’m a planner! (#organized)
I’m a little behind because my planner was delayed on its arrival and I only received it a few days ago. As I sat at my desk and began to write out my month, days, & weeks I noticed activities for each week.
Week One was: Each day this week before going to bed write down three things that you are grateful for.
I’m sure this activity will pop up again (I noticed a lot of the activities repeated months down the road), so I decided this one would be skipped and I would instead start off on Week Two.
Think of three people who have made a difference in your life. Write them a Thank You note and deliver it to them by email, by hand, or by mail.
I am going to deliver by blog post…
You have been my best friend for over 10 years! You have been there for me through hard times and good times. You helped make me the person I am today. I don’t get to see you as much as I’d like to and our lives keep us so busy we hardly talk but when we do it’s like we just spoke yesterday. I cry every time you leave, I’m crying now writing this. I love you with all my heart. I thank you for being my friend all these years even when I was young and stupid or rude and didn’t deserve it. Believe me when I say, there are not many girl friends I have had along the way that I would dump a boy for even though I probably should have.
I am grateful for you were saving me from a disaster of a relationship. Thank you for helping provide shelter for myself and Lychee. Thank you for sharing your car to get to work. If you hadn’t been such a great friend I don’t know where I would be today. I might not have every met Ben and all the wonderful events that followed. I appreciate it every single day. Thank you.
You, like Shannon, helped me in that same disaster of a relationship. You worried about me every day and you helped take care of my health in the process. You’ve been a great support and I can only hope I’ve been the same in your times of need. I will always be there for you when you need me. I love you.
Later this year this activity will pop up and another three people will be named. Until then look out for Week Three & follow my new Instagram @malsnomaticactivity for more updates!
